Engagement and Participation

Involve is an organizational development methodology aimed at sustaining users involvement and active participation through research and engagement actions. It can be used in companies and projects dissemination processes, in service delivery processes, in collaborative processes and in the creation and management of communities inside public and private companies and networks of enterprises. It is a way to organise and develop collaboration and community management through a deep process of users involvement and users research with the aim to launch a change process based on people needs and behaviors in order to obtain business and social performance results.


Results

Involve method results are measured through a specific set of KPIs aimed to evaluate engagement rate and participation to the activities of the communities. Involved users, reach and active participation to on-line and off-line events, knowledge and content sharing, content readings and recurrent interactions are the basic ways to maintain and develop relations with customers, with suppliers and with the main stakeholders. The goal of involvement and engagement is to maximize business results in terms of increased revenues and reduced costs.

Interaction design

Complex systems, such as those in the manufacturing, transport, IoT domains, are featured by critical interactions among people, technologies, machines and contexts. Timelapse allows to analyse and design complex systems interactions by modeling each stage of the product lifecycle by detailing human-machine interaction (HMI) and the digital and physical interfaces of the system itself. Timelapse is an interaction design method which allow to:
• describe the product lifecycle user experience including each stage model-based and task-and-scenario-based descriptions;
• carry out service, interaction and user interface design for the entire product lifecycle considered in the socio-technical system it owns, from sales, to production, to obsolescence management and retrofit.


Results

Timelapse results in a human-machine interaction design based on a comprehensive model of product lifecyle, product as system, software logics and user experience in order to provide a conceptual and operational support for complex systems interaction design and product design. Timelapse allows to focus on critical areas in product development, by mean of:
• general overview of the system;
• focus on potential conflicts and overlaps;
• support to project stakeholder dialogue;
• support to new ideas generation.


SMART RESILIENCE

SmartResilience is a change management methodology based on a people-centric approach. The product is a path based on research, involvement, diagnosis and design. SmartResilience is a structured service that adds analysis, on field research, consultancy and managerial support. The SmartResilience product starts from the analysis of the main characteristics of the organisation (company, departments, locations, buildings…) and of the main aspects related to organisational well-being. Data and information are managed involving the customers’ decision makers, in a participative process based on the development of a virtual and physical community in which people are engaged in a proactive change management process, with a continuous exchange of visions, thoughts and ideas in an innovative and pervasive process of people involvement. The outcome of this activity includes the support of the customer organisation in a process of change, through a definition of change guidelines and through the design of actions aimed to pursue economical, technical and social results, enhancing the role of people as main actors of the change process.


Results

The result of SmartResilience application is a re-action to the Change, as Resilience by organisation and particularly by its psycho-social dimension. This goal is achieved by a Research that allows to describe the way people used to live the Change. Another result is people involvement by implementation and management of a digital community; this is a key to improve organisational empowerment paths. Finally SmartResilience delivers guidelines and a planning to manage the Change to face.

CYBERSECURITY HUB

Cybersecurity requires a holistic and multidisciplinary approach, which considers organizational, managerial, infrastructural, technological and legal plans in relation to Human Factors. This approach aims at understanding cognitive processes and mechanisms, needs and motivations of end users. CYBERSECURITY HUB is designed for supporting organizations in a cultural change that focuses on people needs and involve employees in reflecting on real-life scenarios, such as:
• facilitating decision-making processes toward rules and moral dilemmas,
• increasing people awareness and accountability,
• leading behavioral changes on a personal and organizational level.
CYBERSECURITY HUB is characterized by 3 phases:
a. organizational and strategic analysis;
b. awareness of individual and collective decision-making processes in the real world;
c. interventions for cultural and behavioral change.


Results

The results of CYBERSECURITY HUB method application are: the understanding of interactions between technological, human and organizational components, both at the actual moment and in the history; Interpretating the current practices of the organization through incident reporting methods; Supporting cultural change in the organization by promoting real scenarios critical for decision-making in cybersecurity and reflecting on people attitudes, beliefs and behaviors. CYBERSECURITY HUB defines the analysis of human factors in cybersecurity leading to:
- enhance users needs and analyse possible complications related to work activities,
- user-centered and research-based design for good practices and usable tools,
- organizational cybersecurity culture, where everyone is accountable for the whole organization.
